Largest Drug Bust in MA History

2 men, one from Mexico and the other from the Dominican Republic were arrested yesterday after authorities seized 89 kilos/195 pounds of cocaine from a trailer in an industrial area Revere.  The drugs made its way to Revere from the Mexican border.The estimated street value is between 9 and 10 million dollars. Both men are being held on $5 million bail

Futuristic Army Guns Now A Reality

 The XM25 Counter Defilade Target Engagement System has a range of roughly 2,300 feet - and is to be deployed in Afghanistan this month.


The U.S. army is to begin using a futuristic rifle that fires radio-controlled 'smart' bullets in Afghanistan for the first time, it has emerged.
The XM25 rifle uses bullets that be programmed to explode when they have travelled a set distance, allowing enemies to be targeted no matter where they are hiding.

The rifle also has a range of 2,300 feet making it possible to hit target which are well out of the reach of conventional rifles.
The XM25 is being developed specially for the U.S. army and will be deployed with troops from later this month, it was revealed today.

The rifle's gunsight uses a laser rangefinder to determine the exact distance to the obstruction, after which the soldier can add or subtract up to 3 metres from that distance to enable the bullets to clear the barrier and explode above or beside the target.

Soldiers will be able to use them to target snipers hidden in trenches rather than calling in air strikes.
The 25-millimetre round contains a chip that receives a radio signal from the gunsight as to the precise distance to the target.

Lt. Col. Christopher Lehner, project manager for the system, described the weapon as a ‘game-changer’ that other nations will try and copy.
He expects the Army to buy 12,500 of the XM25 rifles this year, enough for every member of the infantry and special forces.

Lehner told FoxNews: ‘With this weapon system, we take away cover from [enemy targets] forever.
‘Tactics are going to have to be rewritten. The only thing we can see [enemies] being able to do is run away.’

Experts say the rifle means that enemy troops will no longer be safe if they take cover


The XM25 appears perfect weapon for street-to-street fighting that troops in Afghanistan have to engage in, with enemy fighters hiding behind walls and only breaking cover to fire ocasionally.
The weapon's laser finder would work out how far away the enemy was and then the U.S. soldier would add one metre using a button near the trigger. When fired, the explosive round would carry exactly one metre past the wall and explode with the force of a hand grenade above the Taliban fighter.
The army's project manager for new weapons, Douglas Tamilio, said: ''This is the first leap-ahead technology for troops that we've been able to develop and deploy.'

A patent granted to the bullet's maker, Alliant Techsystems, reveals that the chip can calculate how far it has travelled.

Mr Tamilio said: 'You could shoot a Javelin missile, and it would cost $56k. These rounds will end up costing $20 apiece. They're relatively cheap.
Lehner added: ‘This is a game-changer. The enemy has learned to get cover, for hundreds if not thousands of years.
‘Well, they can't do that anymore. We're taking that cover from them and there's only two outcomes: We're going to get you behind that cover or force you to flee.’

The rifle will initially use high-explosive rounds, but its makers say that it might later use versions with smaller explosive charges that aim to stun rather than kill.

1. In 1621, the Pilgrims shared a harvest meal with the Wampanoag Indians in a Plymouth Colony in what is now the state of Massachusetts. It has been acknowledged as the first Thanksgiving celebration. It was a sharing of friendship and trust and of course food.

2. President Abraham Lincoln declared the last Thursday in November as the national day of thanksgiving in 1863.

3. It was not until 1941, Congress made Thanksgiving Day a National Holiday.

4. According to the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers' Association, one of the country's oldest farmers' organizations, Native Americans used cranberries in a variety of foods, including "pemmican" (a nourishing, high-protein combination of crushed berries, dried deer meat and melted fat). They also used it as a medicine to treat arrow punctures and other wounds and as a dye for fabric. Last night Shaq let the Celtics to there 89-83 win over the Nets with 25 points, 9 from 10 on the floor and 7 from 13 at the line. Paul Pierce scored 18 points, and Ray Allen had 15 points and seven assists. Injuries included Rajon Rondo with a hamstring injury, Delonte West with a broken wrist and Marquis Daniels nearly threw out his back helping 345 lb Shaquille O'Neal back onto his feet.

Colts Choke.. Pats Win Another At Home

Brady is back at it again, leading the Pats to another W this season with a 31-28 win over the 4 time MVP Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. 

Manning finished 38 for 52 for 396 yards, 4 TDs and 2 interceptions.  One key interception by James Sanders in the 4th quarter to seal the win for the Pats.  These numbers couldn't match up with Brady and the Pats who are (8-2) tied with the Jets who are both sitting at the top of the AFC. 

Brady has won his last 25 home games, tying Brett Farve when he played for Green Bay.  The Jets and the Pats meet in 2 weeks.  Get ready for Turkey Day, Pats play 1 pm verse the Detriot Lions.

Wesley Snipes Sentenced To 3 Years In Jail

The IRS has finally caught up with Wesley Snipes for the 7 million dollars he owes in income taxes.  He was originally sentenced in 2008 but has been out of the country filming movies, dodging his sentence.  This all changed when a federal warrant for his arrest was issued.  You gotta use some of your undisputed jail fighting skills in there man.  We all saw that movie.  Free Snipes!

The Dog Ate My Passport!

A basset hound affiliated with your favorite website BONE has been making headlines around the country this morning after crashing a honeymoon trip to to Cancun for a newly wedded couple.

Moses had chewed on the passport cover, and his teeth marks were obvious on several of the pages.
Concerned that he could have a problem with immigration authorities, Mann went to the passport office to ask if he should apply for an emergency passport.“I thought I did my due diligence. They said it was fine and the bar codes and picture were all intact,” Mann said.

The Lancaster couple who had been planning this trip for the past 7 months got a big break by the security at Logan, but once they entered Cancun everything changed. They were told they had to leave the country immediately because his passport was not acceptable.  The couple were put back on the same plane that brought them and sent back to Boston.“The Jet Blue people were wonderful,” Blew said. “They gave us drinks and food and they upgraded us.”  I guess my wedding crasher post earlier in the week inspired Moses to take a step further and crash a honeymoon. BONE.

Celtics Play Tonight

Coming off a 3 game winning streak, the Celtics are geared up to face the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at the Garden. The C's a re hoping to extend their record to 10 and 2, while still sitting on top of the Eastern Conference having one 9 of their last 11 games.

Oklahoma Thunder has gotten back on track winning four of their last five games bringing there record to 7-4 this season. 

Should be a good game. The C's defense has to play hard tonight.  The OC Thunder has averaged 115 points per game in the last 5 games.  Here we go C's Here We Go

Paranormal Activity 3 Coming October 2011

 Paramount Pictures has announced there will be a third installment to the box office smash movies, Paranormal Activity 1 & 2.  This doesn't come as a suprise as the first 2 movies made over 330 million dollars world wide.  I haven't seen any of these movies.  Whenever I ask people what they thought of the movie I either get a really bad review or a really good review.  Are you ready for a new Paranormal Activity?

So this guy in Indianapolis supposedly took over 200 photos of girls and put them on a fake profile page.  All the pictures were taken off of random girls profiles, and all the images taken were the only ones where the girls were in bikini's.  Talk about taking facebook creeping to the next level.  Keep it real man.  By now, you should all know to put your profile page on PRIVATE and limit access to certain information.  Just reading this should make you want to go to your friend list and delete every person that you dont know.  Ever think its weird when you get a friend request and your like who the hell is this? and they only have 1 photo. Student Suspended For Lighter

An elementary school student in Virginia was suspended for bringing a lighter in the shape of a gun to school.  He told the principal he found it at a bus stop and put it in his back pack.  He was suspended for 5 days.

_____Did they really suspend a kid for a whole week of school over a lighter he found at the bus stop? that is absolutely ridiculous.  Kids that age are curious about that. I would have thought finding a cool zipo lighter in the shape of a gun would be the coolest thing at that age.  Take the lighter away and send him back to class.  Don't block him from a whole week of education. what does that teach him?

four loko minus three?

By now 4 states have already banned our precious four loko's and Mass isn't far behind. The company claimed that they would take three of the main ingredients (like caffeine) out of the drink so that it will not be banned by the FDA. Well if you ask me the FDA is a bunch of stiffs because they're taking all the fun out of a Saturday nights, clearly no body will drink four loko without caffeine!!! Looks like the four loko craze is over for us, so stock up your fridges!

Monday Night Football Showdown Between Eagles & Redskins

Tonight QB Mick Vick and his Philly Eagles will take on former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins.  This is going to be a really exciting game. Remember when Vick got out of jail and everyone was bashing him and no teams wanted all the bad publicity if they signed him?  During that time, McNabb was playing for the Eagles and he vouched for Vick and got him on the team and re worked him back to his greatness and got him comfortable again on the field.  Then Mcnabb left to the Redskins and Vick stepped in to take over the team.  Since then, the eagles are 5-3 and the redskins are 4-4. 

The Philly eagles offense is ranked #4 while Washingtons defense is ranked #31.  Hopefully they wont get blown out, its gonna be a tough game.  Vick is 3-1 playing on Monday Nights and McNabb is 10-6.  Get ready for an epic showdown tonight!

Celtics Beat Heat 112-107

Celtics gave the Miami Heat their second straight at home loss last night in a brutal beating where the celtics never lost lead and Ray Allen scored 35 points. The heat just couldn't figure out how to beat our veteran team last night. Allen hit his first 7 three pointers, Pierce came in with 25 points and Rondo had 16 assists. Wow. Great game for the C's who are now 7 wins 2 losses.

Lebron still had a good game, just missing his second straight triple double. He ended the game with 35 points also. Boston was just the bigger and better team. Doc was happy after the game saying, "Everybody just stepped in and did their job," Rivers said. "Tonight was the first night I thought we had complete trust in the next pass."

Did anyone see Eddie House and Garnett going at it? House was one of my favorite Celtic players, even though he only played for a short time in Green. He's a good player and got a lot of adrenalin, but honestly, garnet would smash him.

After an illustrious 40 year career, the music venue many locals are familiar with in Allston, MA, will be closing and giving way to a new venue. This comes as a surprise to many people including myself, but everything has to end sometime. the last show was on Halloween night when the New Orleans-bred Soul Rebels Brass Band took the stage. Having been to this venue on a few accounts I am sad to see that it is closing, but with every end there is a new beginning. The new venue will be the Brighton Music Hall. Hopefully it can fill the shoes of a venue that never failed to put on a show or introduce big names, especially locals. Farewell Harpers Ferry, you were good to us.

N.H. Marine posthumously awarded Navy Cross

(Boston Herald) - On March 22, 2009, the men of the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines were under heavy enemy fire when Cpl. Michael W. Ouellette was hit by an improvised explosive device that tore off his lower left leg and left him riddled with shrapnel — but that didn’t stop him from returning fire and barking orders to ensure his squad found their way out of danger.


“He thought his men were more important than coming home,” said his mother, Donna Ouellette yesterday. “I’m proud of him. He didn’t have to do that, but I know if he had to do it over again, he would. Even if he knew the outcome.”


Ouellette died of his injuries as he was transported out of the battle zone. He was 28.
 Yesterday morning at the Marine Reserve Support Center, Secretary of the Navy Raymond E. Mabus presented Ouellette’s family with the Navy Cross, the second-highest honor given. Ouellette was the 26th recipient of the Navy Cross during the war on terrorism.


“There was an expression at Iwo Jima that extraordinary valor was an ordinary event. And you see these acts of extraordinary heroism and extraordinary valor by people like Cpl. Michael Ouellette,” Mabus said. “There are a lot of Marines here today who are alive because of what Michael Ouellette did.”


Born in Manchester, Ouellette was a 1999 graduate of Manchester Memorial High School. He traveled across the nation and attended the Culinary Arts Institute of California before enlisting in the Marines in 2005.


Ouellette served three tours — first in Ramadi, Iraq, as a squad automatic rifleman, then as a fire team leader with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit and finally as a squad leader in Helmand Province.


“He was a leader, a mentor and the greatest influence in my life so far,” said Cpl. Jesse Raper, who served two years alongside Ouellette and pulled the conscious but severely injured Marine out of the crater from the IED blast. “It’s unfortunate that it took something like this to be able to meet his family.”


Yesterday, his siblings remembered Ouellette as a student of Nietzsche and Socrates and an excellent chess player and cook.


“My brother would be embarrassed by all this,” said sister Stephanie Ouellette. “He was very low-key and laid-back. More than anything he would be proud of the men he served with. This medal is as much about those guys as it is about him.

Washington Bans Sale of 4 Loko Statewide!

(CNN) -- The Washington state Liquor Control Board on Wednesday banned the sale of alcoholic energy drinks after a group of college students got sick from consuming a drink nicknamed "blackout in a can."


The ban, which takes effect November 18, follows the October hospitalization of nine underage Central Washington University students who said they got sick after drinking "Four Loko," a caffeinated malt liquor. Some of the students also mixed the canned drinks with other alcohol, including vodka, police reported.

Ok this is getting ridiculous.  I wonder how many kids go to the hospital with alcohol poisoning from vodka, rum, gin, jager (u get my point)?  Then around 30 kids around America at random campuses "black out" and everyone is screaming BAN FOUR LOKO! I'm here to say, f*** that. I love four loko's, it is not black out in a can. These random kids are two beer queers and have 1 four loko can and black out.  Not everyones fault you dont know how to handle your liquor. If vodka was the newest drink created, you know how many people would black out from it? would you ban vodka too? No, you wouldn't so stop trying to take away a drink that I can actually afford and enjoy.

Bruins Storm Back In Third for Win

The Boston Bruins showed some real character tonight against a talented foe in the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Bruins fell behind by two when Crosby netted a power-play goal with just under ten seconds remaining in the second period. It seemed to take the wind right out of the Bruins' sails. The Bruins began the third down 4-2, but got the game back quickly. Nathan Horton netted his 7th goal of the season with a wrist shot whipped into the top right corner, and a mere fifteen seconds later Zdeno Chara knotted the game up on a 3 on 2 offensive zone rush. So as quickly as the game had seemed out of reach, even faster it was back within it. But the bruins were not done yet, they went on to score three more goals, including goals from Blake Wheeler, Milan Lucic and and great go- ahead goal from Shawn Thornton. The bruins dominated the third on both ends of the ice, dismantling a talented team in the Pittsburgh Penguins shutting down big names like Sidney Crosby and Avgeni Malkin. Tim Thomas had another impressive performance although letting in 4 pucks, he faced a season high 46 shots and improving his record to 8-0-0 and an overall record of 8-3-1 this season. The Bruins come back home tomorrow night to take on their Division, the Montreal Canadians at the Garden. Puck the Habs!

1775: Founding of the Marine Corps

A legacy is born

During the American Revolution, many important political discussions took place in the inns and taverns of Philadelphia, including the founding of the Marine Corps.

A committee of the Continental Congress met at Tun Tavern to draft a resolution calling for two battalions of Marines able to fight for independence at sea and on shore.

The resolution was approved on November 10, 1775, officially forming the Continental Marines.

As the first order of business, Samuel Nicholas became Commandant of the newly formed Marines. Tun Tavern’s owner and popular patriot, Robert Mullan, became his first captain and recruiter. They began gathering support and were ready for action by early 1776.

Each year, the Marine Corps marks November 10th with a celebration of the brave spirit which compelled these men and thousands since to defend our country as United States Marines.(Marines.com)

Train Plows Threw 20 Cows

                                         Just when they thought they escaped the slaughterhouse

 A 6,700 foot Norfolk Southern Train slammed through a herd of cows, traveling 38 mph, killing 20 yesterday outside of Columbus, Ohio.  The crash disabled the trains locomotive and blocked a rural highway for 3 hours.  I feel bad for cows, they never get a chance. Oh well, maybe next year.  Anyways, ill leave you with a video of a train taking out in camel in idk...Egypt?

Mavs Stop Celtics 5 Game Winning Streak

The Boston Celtics 5 game winning streak ended last night in a 87-89 loss to the Dallas Mavericks.  Mavericks Nowitzki scored 25 points including a 3 point jumper with less than 20 seconds to play, to snap our winning streak. 

Pierce scored 24 points, followed by Garnett who had 18 points and 15 rebounds, and Rhondo snuck in 11 points and also 15 rebounds. 

Celtic Injuries : Shaq spent his 5th game out with a bruised knee, while Jermaine O'neal sat out the second half of the game due to the same thing.  Perkins, is also still out from an injury last year during the play-offs. Boston plays the Miami Heat again this Thursday. Stay Tuned

Yankees Blowing Money Fast

For the first time in his 16 year career, Jeter is a free agent as of 12:01 this morning.  His 10-year 189-million dollar contract with the Yankees has officially expired.  He is most likely going to re-sign with the Yankees, rumors are they are looking to sign him to a 15-20 million per year contract for 3 years. That is still practically the same contract he had when he was 26.  He was making 21 million a year for 10 years, isn't it odd that they are willing to pay practically the same amount for a guy who is turning 37 before the next Allstar game and a guy who hit .270 last year.  Looks like the Yankees are caught in a bind, Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettite are also looking to be resigned by the Yankees.

Happy Meals Banned In San Fran?

Say it ain't so.  A law was just passed in San Fransisco that is going to ban the sale of happy meals, and turn over to more healthy foods.  According to the law, if your restaurant wants to sell a small toy with a meal, there must be a certain amount of nutrition that comes with the meal. 

I'm all for giving the youth of Captain Americas kids healthier food, but come on, where is the parenting? Parent's should be able to make that decision with their kids, the law shouldn't have to step in. They should still be able to offer the same meal, everyone craves a fattening McDonalds meal every now and then.  Kids don't eat healthy vegetables or fruits when their young anyway, their taste buds aren't immune to that healthy taste, at least mine weren't when I was younger.

Wiz Khalifa Arrested For Traffiking Marijuana

Wiz was out in Greenville, NC early this morning when police saw him and 9 others with weed entering their tour bus after a concert at East Carolina University.  Piggy Wiggys took him into custody after a search of his tour bus came up with a large amount of weed.

He was charged with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana, a felony count of maintaining a dwelling/vehicle/place for sale or storage of marijuana and one misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Funny how this arrest comes in days after he publicly admits to spending $10,000 a month "easily" on weed.  Wiz posted $300,000 bond and is released on bail now.  Looks like he singing  blue & red, blue & red, blue & red now.  Here's a little video of fans cussing out the coppers.


This is just bullshit.  Cops need to chill the hell out.  Wiz is not a threat to the public nor is he a threat to you.  He was invited to your city/university to entertain your students and this is how you repay him.  You search his tour bus with the whole police station unit?  Obviously he had weed on there, the tour is called WAKEN BAKEN TOUR. What did you think was going to happen when you hired him to come to your school as part of a tour named that.  W/e. F*** The Police. Free Wiz!

UCF Students Caught In Cheating Scandal

ORLANDO, Fla.(CNN) -- Hundreds of University of Central Florida seniors are being forced to retake a midterm business exam after their professor said he was tipped off to a cheating scandal.

Local 6 News obtained video of Quinn's online lecture, showing him informing students that someone placed the answer key to the exam in a bin on his door. He said he performed a forensic analysis of the data and noticed abnormally high grades this year compared to last.

hahahahha there ya go.  Since when did cheating become so difficult that you had to jack answer sheets from teachers mailboxes? I just sat in the front of the class and looked to my left and right.  There taking this pretty serious though.  They have to retake the midterm on Monday in a UCF lab specifically designed to stop cheating.  Students have to empty their pockets, turn in cell phones and take the exam under surveillance.  Wowwzzzerrss.  Sucks to suck--- better get to studying AYE!

Philly Eagles beat Indianapolis Colts 26-24 yesterday, in a hard to watch game that consisted of 21 penalties.  It was Vick's first start since his rib injury that has kept him sidelined for the past 3 weeks. He threw for 218 yards with 1 TD and ran for 74 yards with 1 TD. 

Patriots could have used their former teammate yesterday, Asante Samuel, with their loss to the Browns.  Samuel intercepted 2 passes from Peyton Manning, 5th this season (doesn't he always seem to pick off Manning in every game).  He had a key interception in the game's final seconds, that sealed the win for his team.

Peyton Manning threw for 287 yards and 1 TD.  Manning, the 4 time MVP didn't seem himself yesterday, uncomfortable in the pocket, threw 2 interceptions.  Bringing the Colts record to 5-3, same as the Eagles.

Running Back Javarris James rushed for 2 TDs in the first half.  Check out this hit on Austin Collie. I thought he was paralyzed, helmit-to-helmit collision.  James left the game on a stretcher with a concussion.  How much do you think Safety Kurt Coleman to get fined up the ass?

Fantasy Football Ruining Friendships?

Boston.com- Piling on? Perhaps. But with so much on the line in fantasy football — ego, bragging rights, a serious investment of time, and, in some leagues, money — emotions can run high. Players love the game because it allows them to act just like National Football League team owners and coaches, giving them the power to draft and trade athletes, and to decide whom to play and whom to bench. But it can also pit friend against friend and suck the enjoyment out of football itself.

Ok, now people are losing it over fantasy football? relationships, insults, bad trades, laziness, money and pride...all contributing factors to the idea that fantasy football has relationship flaws. The article talks about a few examples of people losing one or more of their friends over a dispute having to do with fantasy football, and they were all ridiculous. Like how trivial can it get, its a fake football league hence the word 'fantasy' and people treat it like its life and death. Get real, literally and figuratively. People need to wake up and understand that fantasy football was created for the fun aspect of it, not the competitive aspect of it. Although I will agree often times the competitive portion of the idea does make it more fun, but people are taking it too far. Forget friendships, there are reports coming out now that fantasy football is dividing marriages and this, according to Boston.com, has been going on longer than the friendship issues. Wives having to deal with angry spouses because they lost a head-to-head game this week or someone in their league made a trade that is going to affect them negatively, so on and so forth. I mean its kind of Comical. I have participated in Fantasy leagues ranging from football to hockey to soccer, but fortunately, the people I have organized these leagues with have a good enough grip on reality to not let this be a problem. Maybe fantasy leagues should tone it down a little? Take money out? Any thoughts?

Patriots Fall Short To Cleveland

This was a disaster from the beginning. The Cleveland Browns snatched the life out of the New England Patriots in the first 5 minutes of the game alone. I'm not one to judge games outcomes ever until the last quarter, but this game just had a horrible vibe since the opening kickoff. I'm not used to seeing the Patriots get crushed in the first half, usually its opposite. The Pats crush the opponent in the first half then play a slow paced 2nd half. This was just a big upset. Browns had the momentum and extended it with stamina the whole game. The New England Patriots offense & defense left it in the locker room this afternoon. There was no excitement or emotion on the behalf of the Patriots. Wes Welker stepped it up big today, taking Stephen Gostkowski's spot after a thigh injury during the game. He kicked an extra point and the kick off in the 4th quarter. The Patriots are now 6-2 gearing up to play the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday. Keep your head up Patriots, We'll be back next Sunday. I'm sure Belichick will have his team well prepared for a dog fight.

Violence Continues In The Hub

Violence continues to break out in the Hub as 2 white males were shot outside of a bar near the Haymarket station late last night in a dispute with other booze baggers.  3 males were arrested in the melee.  Down the street in Roxbury, an unidentified victim is suffered life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in an attempted robbery on Deaborn Street last night.  This victim is passed away at Boston Medical center.

The Real Wedding Crasher!

Boston Herald - Five bridesmaids ejected yesterday from their limousine by a carjacker outside a Dorchester church made it down the aisle on time without breathing a word about the wedding crasher to the blushing bride until after she tied the knot.

The bridesmaids fled the limo in flowing blue gowns, fuchsia bouquets still intact, after the thief made his escape from a house break-in by smashing the limo’s passenger-side window with a hammer outside Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Church, witnesses said.

I've always wondered what it would be like to be a wedding crasher.  I didn't imagine it being like this though. I know we've all seen the movie with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, you know, tricking girls into one night stands, open bars, free food, gifts and just an already great time. 

This all started around 1 pm yesterday, after a man needed to get away from a home he just broke into. The man first tried to get into a mail truck parked outside the church and, finding it locked, moved on to the limo, witnesses said.

The Bridesmaids got out of the limo and ran down the street to the church while the driver was behind fighting with the car jacker.  This didn't stop this wedding from getting crashed though, as the service went on as planned.  Meanwhile, Dorchester police were outside putting yellow tape all around the street and church, while the ceremony was in progress.  Of course they didn't forget Rule #84
