Lloyd Payne, 18, of Dorchester was shot and killed yesterday afternoon. He was driving his one day old green acura when a gunman opened fire on him, hitting him once, causing him to crash. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he later passed away. Lloyd is the city's 61st homicide, compared to 42 at this time last year.
Ok this is messed up. He just bought a brand new car the day before, and the next day he's gunned down while driving it on his own street. The damn kid is younger then most of you who are reading this right now. Not to mention, his older brother was shot and killed last year in Dorchester too. I can't imagine what their families are going through right now. This happened in broad daylight at 1:15.
“He was a good kid,’’ said Payne’s uncle, Emmanuel Payne, 37, who lived with the teenager at the Mallon Road address. He never had a run in with the police before.
